Week-end in Cochem

Last weekend we stayed in Cochem located at the river Moezel in Germany. Usually we go to Sankt Goar (river Rhine) once a year but this time we went with some friends to a vacation parc near Cochem. The house and the park itself where really nice and the location is superb. Below some pictures we took in Cochem and by the Rhine.

Weekend in Brugge and Gent (Belgium)

We just got back from a weekend in Brugge and Gent (Belgium). The weather was great and we visited both city’s and the beach. It was remarkable quiet; we parked dead center and also the beaches were quiet despite the great sunny weather. Below a small selection of pictures we took to get into the mood.

The macro option of the Casio keeps on amazing me. The following images where made with the Casio EX-FH20 and show a little Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale crawling over the leaf of our grapes.

Canon EOS Rebel T1i

Just a short item about my new camera, the Canon EOS Rebel T1i.

It has been a few years since i last used an SLR camera so it takes some getting used to. But i must say the Rebel T1i is easy to handle and you dont need to be an experienced photographer to shoot some nice pictures. I’ve bought the Rebel T1i with the default EF-S 18-55 IS lens together with the EF-S 55-250 IS lens

The most important features are:

15,1 megapixels
New grip
HD video 1080p @ 20fps or 720p @ 30fps
ISO range up to 3200 with a boost to 12.800
Live-view with face recognition

Here are three photographs i took last week during a testround. (Images have been scaled back from 4752 x 3168 to 1024 x 768 pixels)

AppScanner is a simple application debugger / dependancy scanner.
BackItUp is a backup utility where you can speficy profiles containing file masks.
DrWatson analyser is a utility to analyse trends in DrWatson files.
